Drew
Drew is a family owned and run boutique winery, with a sole focus on site specific Pinot Noir and Syrah. Their big news is that they have recently moved their winery to the North Coast of California!! The new winery, which they designed themselves, is located in a beautiful 26-acre antique apple orchard on a ridge top between the Pacific Ocean and the Anderson Valley.
Jason Drew began his winemaking odyssey in 1980, when he helped plant his uncle's vineyard in the Stag's Leap District of Napa Valley. Jason then pursued an education based on the land - in Agricultural Ecology, Viticulture and Enology. A passion and philosophy grew during the early years, when Jason managed world-class vineyards in Northern California. Discussions that had germinated years earlier when Jason and Molly first dreamt of having their own winery began to resurface. In 2000, they formed Drew while Jason was Associate Winemaker at Babcock Vineyards and Winery in Santa Barbara's Santa Rita Hills area. In 2003, Drew was on its own. 2005 was a milestone year, when Jason and Molly purchased land in the Anderson Valley, designed and built their own winery, and relocated Drew to the North Coast of California. With the benefit of knowledge and experiences gained over the years, and a mission of creating wines of finesse and distinction, Jason and Molly are creating their own legacy in both Santa Barbara County and the North Coast.
