Edward Sellers Vineyards & Wines is a boutique winery specializing in small lots of handmade Rhone-style blended wines from Paso Robles, California. Although modeled after the great Chateauneuf-du-Pape wines from the Rhone Valley of France, our ultra-premium wines speak distinctly of their contemporary Central California Coast origins. Edward Sellers Vineyards & Wines grows and handpicks most of its grapes from the limestone and calcareous-rich hillsides found on the west side of Paso Robles. Our Estate Vineyard is situated in the heart of the Templeton Gap Microclimate, an area greatly influenced by the Coastal Mountain Ranges and the Pacific Ocean. This area is characterized by clear, sunny days with temperatures reaching into the high 90's. By late afternoon, those temperatures can cool as much as 40 degrees as the Pacific Ocean's marine layer creeps through the mountain pass. This fluctuation is critical to attain the intense varietal characteristics displayed in our wines. Intense ripe fruit, combined with the skill and experience of our winemaker Amy Butler, have produced wines with elegant structure, intense fruit concentration and luscious mouth feel.
