Grey Wolf Cellars

Joe and Shirlene Barton established Grey Wolf Cellars in 1994. Their son Joseph handles all winemaking duties, producing 3000 cases per year of premium varietal wines. All reds are fermented in open-top vats in half-ton lots for maximum extraction and aged in American and French oak barrels. In 1999 Joseph began planting Grey Wolf's Estate Vineyards in Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Because they are a family operation the Bartons chose a wolf as their symbol because the aspect of the wolf's nature that has the strongest appeal is the animal's affectionate interest in its family.
